LIVE VIDEO: Governor Plans To “Transform” State Government

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson has called an 11:30 AM news conference to discuss with reporters what he calls a transformation of state government.

The conference is expected to present a comprehensive media plan that will reduce the amount of money spent by state government during a given fiscal year. According to published media reports, Hutchinson has vowed to reduce some 40 agencies that report to the governor to 20 or so. He’s already said he wants to combine the Correction and Community Correction Departments.
