FORT SMITH – A new building dedicated to rock climbing is headed to 3625 South 91st Street, as a building permit has been issued by the City of Fort Smith to Vertical Horizons LLC to complete the facility. The company will act as its’ own contractor, building the project at a cost of $571,570.
The company had made the following announcement in 2017, but their social media presence went silent following the post, which received tremendous response from its’ audience.
“Jerry and Amanda Barnett are happy to announce they are opening an indoor rock climbing gym in Fort Smith, AR.” the company said. “The gym will have routes up to 35 ft. which will include lead and toprope climbing, 5 autobelay stations, children’s climbing area, plus tons of bouldering.”
