FORT SMITH – A local restaurant will get a facelift, while a long-awaited dentist office will be able to finish out the inside of their facility thanks to the latest round of building permits issued by the city of Fort Smith.
The Braums’ location at 4418 Rogers Avenue will spend some $500,000 on a complete remodel of their building. The initiative comes as the Oklahoma-based restaurant chain has been remodeling many of their stores to focus on the retail sales of grocery items such as their in-house dairy and ice cream brands.
Aspen Dental will spend $500,000 of their own to finish out the building planned for the corner of Rogers Avenue and Massard. The location for many years had been the location of a convenience store that served the east side of Fort Smith prior to the massive growth that hit the area. The dental group began plans for the new location in February.
“Aspen Dental practices are committed to treating patients with the compassion and respect they deserve.” the company said via its’ website. “The practices believe in providing comprehensive care that addresses both your short- and long-term dental care needs, and promise to provide an honest, judgment-free environment where it all comes down to great care.”
In other permits issued, the Montessori School of Fort Smith will spend $150,000 to renovate restrooms inside their facility, with the project under the direction of Petree Construction.
