FORT SMITH – Today, OK Foods completed the first year of its strategic long-term partnership with the Fort Smith River Valley Regional Food Bank (RVRFB) with its donation of 20,000 pounds of chicken.
The partnership between the RVRFB and OK Foods began with a five-year commitment to provide 500,000 pounds of chicken products to the food bank in order to help provide nourishment to people in the river valley community. The donation is the largest commitment in OK Foods history.
“We are thrilled to accept this gift from OK Foods,” said Marc Baker, executive director of the Crawford-Sebastian Community Development Council. “With the colder weather in place, it is vital that we focus our efforts to provide proper nutrition to our vulnerable populations.”
