Jean Miller

DECEMBER 7, 1933 – MAY 8, 2019

Nora Jean Miller, loving mother, devoted wife, and faithful and loving servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was taken home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2019. Jean and Corky spent many of their years together in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, rearing three happy children. After a work stint in Missouri, they moved to Greenwood, AR in 1994 upon retirement where they became active members of their beloved church, First Baptist Church Greenwood. Soon after joining, Jean founded and led a Widows Ministry at First Baptist Church Greenwood. She was active with it until Dad became ill, wherein she sacrificially gave her all in caring for Dad until he passed on October 30, 2013. After three years with her son in Huntersville, NC, she returned to Fort Smith in 2018 where her daughter cared for her until the end. Jean was preceded by her parents, Cleo Hullet and Pauline Hullet Harkleroad, her stepfather John Harkleroad, her dear husband, Maurice (Corky) Miller, and her brothers, O.W. Bob Hullet and Wilbur Hullet.

Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 13 at First Baptist Church Greenwood with burial to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery under direction of the McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas. Service officiation by Brother Ronnie Deal, pastor First Baptist Church Greenwood.

Visitation and viewing will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 12, at First Baptist Church Greenwood, 19 N. Adair, Greenwood. There will be a family gathering and luncheon Monday at the R.O.C. at First Baptist Church Greenwood after the service. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne and Ken Harvey of Pocola, OK; her two sons, John and Zeena Miller of Greenville, SC and Scott and Jill Miller of Charlotte, NC; her brother, Eddie Hullet of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Wilma McGlasson of Skaneateles, NY; her seven grandchildren include Randy and Tiffany Harvey Villarreal, Erin, Ian and Theo Miller and Joshua and Matthew Miller; her nine great grandchildren are Camryn, Holden, Alex, Annalisa, Alexandra, Judah, Levi, Zealand and Emerson and two more great grandchildren are arriving this summer. Pallbearers will be Randy Harvey, Joshua Miller, Matthew Miller, Ian Miller, Jack Lee Miller, Jim Pachlhofer, Steve Elfurd and Van McGlasson.
