TULSA – The National Weather Service says they may not expect the winter storm our neighbors to the north got over the weekend, but it will be extremely cold in the area toward the end of the week.
“We’re still monitoring a strong cold front next weekend, which is expected to bring sharply colder temperatures, dangerous wind chills, and at least a chance of accumulating snow.” The Tulsa forecast office said on Monday. “Most of the details surrounding the snow potential remain low confidence so stay tuned to the latest forecasts.”
Lows on Sunday are expected to be at 20 degrees or below in the Fort Smith area, and even colder as you head north.
Warmer temperatures in the fifties are expected to linger before the powerful cold front moves into the area.
